The General Director of Dome, Antonio Nieto, participated on Monday, March 13, in the Business Trends forum of Mallorca on “digital transformation”. A day where the immediate future of the Balearic economy was discussed. In his presentation, he defended the usefulness of the analysis of data in companies in the tourism sector and highlighted the current paradigm shift from the analysis of past events to prediction, having the ability to estimate what will happen.

The forum was attended by Alex Rayon, Professor of Digital Economics at the University of Deusto, who opened the conference with a conference in which he highlighted how the use of digital technology will allow us to open new business models thanks to our information. Each one related his experience in what refers to the digital transformation and the uses that each one of them obtains from the data.The forum led by José Marcial Rodríguez Díaz, CEO and manager of the Tourism Consortium of Cala Millor and member of the Senior Tourism Board and Silver Economy of the European Commission, concluded, after several hours of debate among the invited experts, with the factor human being as the central axis of the fourth industrial revolution.
